Arenal Volcano Hike 1968 Trail

A close up look at Volcano Arenal!

Arenal Volcano Hike 1968 Trail

A “must do” tour in Arenal for sure. Beautiful and impressive Arenal Volcano will amuse you from the beginning of the trip.

We’ll start the tour off by picking you up at your hotel in one of our comfortable vans with air conditioning. During the transfer to the trail our guide will talk briefly about the tour itinerary and explain you with detail about some really interesting information of the area and the Arenal Volcano. Upon arrival you can use the facilities and read up on the history of the area before your guided hike.

All set, we’ll trek for about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) through different scenarios like open lands, lagoon shore, and of course the lava flows of the 1968 eruption where being in good physical condition is necessary to fully enjoy this hike. You will also found an incredible viewpoint close to the volcano where you’ll find yourself stepping on lava flows turned into stone and views of the Arenal Lake and the landscape around as no other spot in the area. Your nature guide will do his best to give you catching and interesting information about the place, the hiding fauna among the trees and bushes and of course about the Arenal Volcano.
